Mathilde Reymond is a versatile violinist from Neuchâtel, Switzerland, recognized for her expertise across a wide range of musical projects. She is involved in interdisciplinary ventures, excels in improvisation, chamber music, choral singing, and collaborates with dance companies. Her work also extends to educational programs, promoting
historically informed performances and exploring a diverse repertoire including songs, opera, oratorio, and theatrical music.
Additionally, Mathilde actively participates in projects featuring narrators, takes on soloist roles, contributes to studio recordings, and performs symphonic music. Her artistic expressions also appear in theater and video/film productions.
Biography
Mathilde is a student of the distinguished violinist Pierre Fouchenneret, known for his unique blend of solo and chamber music performances. Described by Le Figaro for his “extraordinary bow,” Pierre has performed on stages around the world, often in collaboration with remarkable musicians, including members of the Quatuor Strada. His major projects include complete recordings of Brahms’, Fauré’s, and Schumann’s chamber music. After studying at the CRR in Nice and the CNSMD in Paris, he became an assistant of his former professor Olivier Charlier. Pierre’s career also includes teaching – he currently works as a violin professor at HEM Geneva-Neuchâtel, bringing his extensive experience to both performance and academic spheres.
