SVETLANA VASYLYEVA
Since 2012 Svetlana has been the President and Artistic director of the ArtDialog Festival and Association. Within this position, she got the opportunity to cooperate with internationally recognized artists such as Natalia Gutman, Miklós Perényi, Arcadi Volodos, Boris Berezovsky, Nikolai Lugansky, Heinz Holliger; and also with such cultural organizations like Rostropovich Foundation, Spivakov Foundation and others.
It is not only the renowned artists she is passionate about – Svetlana sees high potential in young talents, such as Daniel Lozakovich, Varvara Kutuzova, Davit Khrikuli, Alexandra Dovgan, Shio Okui, Himari Yoshimura and invests time and efforts in supporting these young artists.
In the partnership with the Rachmaninoff Foundation Villa SENAR in Switzerland Svetlana is developing the cultural projects to support young talented musicians, future stars of classical music stage.
Biography
Svetlana Vasylyeva is a professional musician, she received musical education at the Special Music School in Kiev, the National P.I.Tchaikovsky Music Academy, European Mozart Academy for Chamber Music and the Geneva Music Conservatory. Moreover, she completed a course in management of cultural projects at the University of Lausanne “ARTOS”. Svetlana Vasylyeva developed her musical career in Ukraine in the orchestra of the National Opera and the Chamber Orchestra in Kiev. In 2000 she moved with her family to Switzerland. As an orchestra musician Svetlana worked in such orchestras as the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande, the Orchester der Opernhaus Zürich, the LSO Luzern, “Solistes Européens Luxembourg”, Musikkollegium Winterthur, ESN Neuchâtel, “MusicAeterna” etc.
Svetlana Vasylyeva is convinced that “only those can be called professionals who are passionately devoted to their work, are constantly evolving and seeking perfection, however, they know, that this path is endless“.
