CHARLOTTE SCHNEIDER
Flute
Charlotte Schneider is an active flutist in Switzerland and internationally, both as a soloist and in chamber music ensembles. Winner of the first prize at the Moeck/SRP Recorder Solo Competition 2021 in London, she is known for her virtuosic and expressive approach to early music repertoire.
Passionate about the performing arts in all their forms, she enriches her musical practice with singing and opera at Avant-scène Opéra, as well as theater with the Entracte company. In 2018, she founded the Barocc’Opéra company, for which she serves as an artistic director, and since 2023, she has been the president of the Flauto Dolce Lausanne association.
Biography
In addition to her concert career, she shares her knowledge with young musicians by teaching at the Geneva Conservatory.
Charlotte Schneider studied recorder and traverso in Neuchâtel, Lausanne, and at the Schola Cantorum in Basel. Holding a master’s degree in music pedagogy and a master’s degree in performance, both with distinction, she pursues an artistic approach that is demanding and open, at the crossroads of music and the performing arts.
