Biography
Born in Treviso into a family of musicians, Antonio Pavan began studying piano at the age of four with Anna Maria Zanetti, who continues to guide his artistic development. His extraordinary talent became apparent at an early age: by the age of five he was already performing in public and winning numerous first prizes in national and international competitions.
At seven, he passed his first piano examination at the Conservatory of Rovigo with highest distinction, followed a year later by a diploma in music theory and ear training, also with top marks. His repertoire spans from Baroque to contemporary music and is distinguished by remarkable musical maturity, a refined sound culture and exceptional expressive depth.
In 2024, he won First Prize at the International Giulio Rospigliosi Competition in the open age category as the youngest participant and made his orchestral debut performing Mozart’s Piano Concerto K.414. In the same year, he received First Prize at the International Jeune Chopin Competition in Lugano, chaired by Martha Argerich. At the winners’ concert, he was the only participant invited to perform one of his own compositions.
Alongside his work as a pianist, Antonio is deeply committed to composition and has already presented several original works in public. He regularly appears at festivals and concert series throughout Europe and the United States, including the Varna Summer Festival, Switzerland’s Sobrio Festival and the Miami International Piano Festival Academy. Passionate about literature as well, he is the author of Sulle ali della musica, an award-winning story published in 2023.
